Is Baby Hatch #3 a BOY or a GIRL????

Every asked me what I thought the gender of the baby was. Since I had been pregnant with both a boy and a girl before everyone figured there was a big difference in pregnancies with different genders. But this pregnancy has been so much different then my first two. My first two were actually very similar, and this one is just completely throwing me off! 

When I was pregnant with Titan I was convinced I was having a girl, wrong. When I was pregnant with Laikynn I was convinced I was having a boy, wrong. With this baby (because I had been SO sick) I figured it was a girl... WRONG!! 

Devan and Titan thought it was a boy, while Laikynn and I thought it was a girl! 

We are all SO excited!! (Laikynn was a little bummed!)

Laikynn was a little sad that she wasn't getting a little sister. But she is slowly coming around and excited for another brother! 

 If you haven't noticed I love pictures! So Laikynn had 2 newborn photo shoots! This one was by AM Photography! She did an amazing job!

WE FINALLY DECIDED ON A NAME!

HER NAME WILL BE...

LAKYNN KAY HATCH!

(pronounced Lay-kin)

 IT'S A GIRL!!!

Devan and I both were guessing it was going to be a boy, but to our surprise she is a girl!! But I couldn't be more excited!! I literally can not wait to start shopping for clothes, bows and shoes AND to decorate the nursery!! I told Devan before we found out if it is a girl be prepared to go broke because everything is SO much cuter in pink!! :)

Sadly, Devan works WAY too much and couldn't make it to the appointment. Seriously, his work schedule is absolutely crazy right now. But that might be a good thing cause he can take off lots of time when the baby comes! Anyways, since he couldn't go to the appointment I went by myself then surprised him at work with balloons!

Yep, she is gonna be a daddy's girl!!

Since we found it a little difficult to get everyone together at the same time, we ended up announcing our new expected little one a few different ways! 

 1. My favorite way of announcing it was to my family. We decided to let Titan be the one to share the wonderful news that he was soon to be a big brother. Since he couldn't quite say it himself yet we put it on his shirt and had him wear it to my parents house. Once we got there he still had his jacket on and we asked Grandpa to help him take it off. He did so, and started reading Titan's shirt! It was fun to see the reactions of everyone as they read the bottom of the shirt. 

 "I'm not lion. I'm going to be a big brother."

2. Next we announced it to Devan's family. We had a big BBQ at our house and invited everyone over. Right before we were about to eat, Devan let everyone know he was going to bless the food first. At the end of his prayer he blessed my pregnancy and the baby growing in my belly, then quickly said amen. It totally took everyone by surprise!! 

3. Since there was a few late comers to the BBQ we also set out some custom M&M's that said "WE'RE EXPECTING" "DUE DATE: 04/06/21" "BOY OR GIRL??" then some had pictures of binky's and teddy bears. So when they were getting their food they noticed the strange pink and blue M&M's!

4. Then we decided to let our close friends know before announcing it to everyone else. So we invited everyone over for a Halloween Party. We went dressed as an Oven and The Bun Maker. It would take people a minute or so before actually putting 2 and 2 together but they all got it and were super excited for us!!

5. Lastly, we of course posted it on Facebook for the rest of the world to see. But not just any way.. We did it with a professional photo shoot with a chalk board announcing the new arrival.

So the word is finally out and we are pretty sure that everyone knows that we are SUPER excited to be adding a new member to our family!

Announcing a pregnancy is kind of a BIG thing. I wanted to think of something really creative! So here is one of the ways we decided to tell some of our friends and family!
