Boys bow tie tutorial

Monday, February 27, 2012

Here's what you'll need:

-Two 3" x 10" pieces of fabric

-One 3" x 10" piece fleece or felt

-1" piece velcro

-One 2.5" x 4" piece of fabric

-One 3" x 15' strip, depending on your child's neck size. You can also use ribbon or elastic instead.

Take the 3 pieces cut to 3" x 10". Place the right sides together of fabric, and then the felt under that.

Sew 1/4" seam around the whole thing, leaving about a 2" gap at one of the ends. Clip corners.

 Turn right side out.

Take the small 2.5" x 4" scrap of fabric and sew 1/4" seam, wrong sides together. Turn right side out.

Sew the two ends together of both pieces of fabric, tucking in the unfinished edge. So you'll have a piece that's joined together at both short ends, like a ring.

Then take the little ring and place the bigger piece of fabric through it.

This creates your bow.

Sew your long strap together the same as the middle, small fabric piece. And turn right side out.

Pull the strap through the back of the bow, sew on the velcro and you're done!

33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: about 19 lbs, I think I am most definitely going to weight more with this baby then the last! Last time I gained a total of 21 lbs so at this rate I will be passing that up!
Maternity clothes? The
black under shirt in the picture is 1 of the 2 maternity shirts that I have bought! No Maternity pants yet and since there is only a few weeks left I am probably not going to buy anything else kind of seems like a waste of money! ha
Stretch marks? Nope.
Best moment this week: I bought her seriously thee cutest clothes ever!! And I picked out everything she is going to wear while in the hospital! :)
Miss anything: My energy! Some days I have none, that could also be because of the two year old that I have to chase around all day!
Movement: Tons! My whole stomach moves all over the place, all the time!
Food cravings: Nope.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Oh yes!
  Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: I get Braxton Hicks like everyday!
Belly Button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: Getting my bags packed for the hospital so that it is one less thing I have to worry about!

Maternity Pictures- Baby #1

Sunday, February 26, 2012

So I decided to pull out my maternity pictures from my last pregnancy to compare the difference. I didn't think there would be a big difference, but there most definitely is! I was just teeny tiny with my last pregnancy! In fact I was so small I didn't even tell most of my friends or family that I was pregnant until I was about 7 and 1/2 months along!!I think this baby is going to be a lot bigger when she comes out then Titan! I am already bigger and I haven't even gotten to the point of when I took these pictures yet! These maternity pictures were taken 2 weeks before little Titan was born when I was 36 weeks because he was 2 weeks early. I am going to get my maternity pictures done with this pregnancy here in the next week so then I will be able to really compare the difference. But I thought I would share these ones! :)

Oh and yes, I used to be a brunette! I am actually naturally a brunette, just a little lighter than this color.

Boys Tie Shirt Tutorial

Okay, this is so easy that I feel like I shouldn't have to make a tutorial for it! But I will just in case some one you are wondering how to make these super cute shirts!

What you will need:

-Fabric
-Tee Shirt
Tie cut out
-Heat n Bond
-Iron

First, Pre-heat iron to medium heat.

Then add the adhesive to the wrong side of the fabric and hold the iron over the paper liner for about 6 seconds or until it sticks.

Next, take your tie cut out and trace it onto the paper.

Cut out the paper liner and fabric.

Then peel off the paper backing.

Press the cut out onto the tee shirt for about 6 seconds or until they are bonded.

And you're done! Super easy!

I love this because you aren't limited to just doing tie shirts! You can do any fabric with any pattern!

Then make an entire outfit!
