Week 35

How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: about 22lbs, officially bigger with baby #2 than baby #1.
Maternity clothes? Rocking the belly band and leggings still. Cardigans and cute jackets are nice to wear so I don't stretch out any of my clothes and still don't have to buy tons of new maternity clothes.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Best moment this week: EVERYTHING IS ALL READY!
Miss anything: Still not having any rib pain, it kills me.
Movement: Lots!
Food cravings: Nope.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: I look like I am about to pop I think!
  Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: I still get Braxton Hicks almost daily.
Belly Button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: Her to be here which will be in 4 weeks or less!! That is so soon!!

I picked out what I want her to wear at the hospital and going home! It took me forever to make a decision but I finally did it!

OUTFIT #1:
I got this outfit and binky at Babys'R'US; the socks and mittens at Target; then added my own little bow to the hat to make it a little more girly! I love bows!! I also bought it in preemie size so I am hoping it will fit her! With my first baby he was 6 lbs 11 oz and his newborn clothes drowned him! So I am hoping it will fit good!

OUTFIT #2:
I got this cute little outfit at Babinski's. It is just a local store to Salt Lake I think but it seriously has the cutest designer stuff! (I die every time I go in there!) And the mittens and Binky are from Babys'R'US. Then again I added on a little bow :)

OUTFIT 3#:
This is her actually going home outfit! I got it at Naartjie, which is my new favorite store for baby clothing. They always have the cutest stuff! Then binky and mittens are from Target. Then I added on the flower to the headband!

If you want to see everything else I packed in the baby's hospital bag

What to pack in your hospital bag.

FOUR WEEKS OR LESS UNTIL OUR BABY GIRL WILL BE HERE!
So I decided to pack our hospital bags.. just in case!

This will be baby number two for me, therefore I know a little bit about what you should bring to the hospital with you on the big day. This is everything that was helpful or that I needed! With my first baby I barley packed anything so this time around I am making sure that I have got it all!

1. Robe: This is great for the first day. I didn't change out of my hospital gown the first day so this was nice to wrap around me!

2. Shampoo, conditioner and soap: For once you are able to get up and move around it is nice to shower with your own stuff!

3. Toothbrush and tooth paste: Kind of self explanatory, ha.

4. Make up, hair ties, hairspray, ect: Once I feel up to it I try to get a little bit ready since there are a lot of people coming the hospital to see you and the new baby!

5. Blow dyer and curling iron: In case your feeling up to it!

6. Pillow: Of course they have some at the hospital but it is nice to have your own that isn't as flat as a pancake!

7. Blanket: I am addicted to soft blankets, so I bring my own to make me as comfortable as possible!

8. Sweats/outfit for second day: I started feeling a little better on the second day so I changed into my own clothes. I found it a good excuse to buy some cute new sweats!! :)

9. Socks, and slippers: Make sure you bring some soft socks! They give you some at the hospital but I like having my own from home to keep my toes warm. Then slippers for if you need to walk around before labor or once the baby is born.

10. Going home outfit: I just packed another pair of cute sweats. Last time I didn't quite feel like busting out the jeans and heels so I am assuming it will be that way again this time, ha!

Then here are some things that I wrote down to remember to grab on the way out:
-Camera
-Cell Phone
-Phone Charger
-Labtop, ipad and chargers for them (gives you something to do while you are stuck in bed.)
-Movies

What to pack in your baby's hospital bag

FOUR WEEKS OR LESS UNTIL OUR BABY GIRL WILL BE HERE!

So I decided to pack our hospital bags.. just in case!
This will be baby number two for me, therefore I know a little bit about what you should bring to the hospital with you on the big day. This is everything that was helpful or that I needed! With my first baby I barley packed anything so this time around I am making sure that I have got it all!

1. Receiving blankets: I am bringing 3, one for each day that we will be staying at the hospital and that match each outfit. They also have some at the hospital just in case you need another or you forget yours. I just prefer having my own.

2. Soft Blankets: My baby will be born in March, which in Utah could be 0 degrees or 100 degrees so I am just being prepared either way to keep her all bundled up! The blankets I have from her are from Minky Couture, seriously thee softest blankets EVER! A little pricey, but so worth it!

3. Bobby Pillow: This is great for late night feedings!

4. Teddy Bear: Totally something you do not have to bring. She won't even notice it. But my husband came home with it and wanted it to be her first teddy bear, so we are bringing it with us.

5. The diaper bag: This I am using, of course, to put all of her things in. If you have enough room in your own bag you don't have to bring the baby their own. I love my diaper bag that we got so I decided to bring it!

6. Diapers: The hospital will provide you with some but they are usually size 1 so they are a little big, so it is your preference. Be sure to take the diapers they give you home though because well they are free! :)

7. Wipes: These are already kept in her diaper bag so I am just keeping them in there in case. The hospital will provide wipes as well.

8. Diaper Rash Cream: This comes in handy during diaper changes.

9. Burp Clothes: I am bring 3 of these as well. Mainly because they are for when the baby spits up so I might need a few.

10. Breast Pump/nursing pads: The hospital will have both of these, as well, but it is something I would prefer to use my own of. With my first baby I planned on breast feeding and my baby wouldn't eat from me. It got to the point where the baby was losing too much weight so I had to pump and feed him through a bottle. I am afraid it may happen with this baby too which is why I am bringing mine. If your baby is a good eater or you plan on using formal you might not need this.

11. Bottle: If you plan on feeding with formal or your pump and put it in a bottle. Hospital will provide formal and bottle nipples too.

12. Nursing Cream: I didn't handle breast feeding too well with my first and this stuff was my life saver!!

13. Binky: This is optional and they provide the big green ones at the hospital. I am bringing some just in case but don't plan on using them for the first few days.

14. Baby Hat/Beenie: You need to keep the little ones head nice and warm, especially if you are having a baby in the winter season.

15. Socks: Also need to keep their little piggies warm!

16: Mittens: To keep them from scratching their poor little faces.

17. Pajamas/clothing: The hospital gives you a white onsies and that is it. So if you want your baby to wear anything else you better bring it!

18. Going Home Outfit: This too me quite some time to pick out which one I wanted her to wear! Finally made a decision and I can't wait to see her in it!!

The hospital has almost everything you will need in case you forget something, but it always nice to have your own preference!

Bow Holder Tutorial

I kept seeing these all over the place and really wanted to make one for my little girl because I want her to have LOTS of bows! But instead of buying one I just decided to make one and here is how I did mine! :)

What you will need:
Picture frame
Fabric
Cotton strip
Ribbon
Hot Glue
Scissors

First measure out your cotton so that it is slightly bigger than the glass from your frame.

Then, doing small sections at a time, hot glue the cotton to the glass.
This is will help so that the cotton and/or fabric won't slip or move around once it is in the frame.

Then cut off the extras on the side.

So that it looks like this.

Then do the same thing with your fabric! So that they are both glued to the glass.

Then measure the glass to see how long your ribbon needs to be cut.

Cut your ribbon about 2 inches longer than the glass so that you have about an inch hanging over each end. Then wrap your ribbon around the glass, gluing both sides to the glass.

Then continue to do so with the rest of your ribbons.
I put mine 2 inches apart.

Then put it in your frame and you are done! And ready to start putting your bow on!
