Cancer Causing Baby Products!

ALL PARENTS MUST READ!!

Do you use Johnson & Johnson Products on your infant or child? There has been CANCER CAUSING CHEMICALS found in the baby line of Johnson & Johnson products!
 Please read below!

When I got pregnant with my first baby I had a huge baby shower thrown by my mother and sister. At the baby shower I got tons of Johnson & Johnson baby products! I loved the smell and thought I would definitely be using them on my new arrival.

Once my little boy came I had a family member tell me not to use Johnson & Johnson because of some of the products found in them were harmful to the baby. I figured if the hospital was using these products I could just them on my baby. Within a few short weeks my little boy got Eczema; a skin condition were his skin would break out in dry rashes all over his body. I didn't think much of it or relate his skin condition to the products. The only thing that seemed to work to make his skin better was a doctor prescribed steroid cream. I did not like putting this on my baby but it was the only thing that seemed to work!

When I had my second child I was still continuing to use Johnson & Johnson on my now 3 year old boy who still suffered from Eczema and planned to use it on my little girl. After the delivery the nurses started to give my sweet baby girl her first bath. I noticed that they were no longer using Johnson & Johnson products. When I asked why they were not using them, they told me there were some harmful chemicals in the Johnson & Johnson products that the hospital did not approve of.

I decided to research more into Johnson & Johnson and was shocked at the results found in this article:

CANCER CAUSING CHEMICALS??

I immediately switched brands to Arbonne Baby Care Line which is an all natural product. Within weeks of switching my 3 year old to this product his eczema has completely cleared up and I no longer have to use expensive prescription creams on him.  Not only did it clear up his skin but he has not had a outbreak since I switched him 10 months ago. As far as my little girl she has been on Arbonne since birth and has not had a single skin problem. Not only does it work, it smells just like a baby!
Arbonne Baby Line is not sold in stores but you can purchase them:

There is other all natural baby lines out there that you can use on your baby and I highly recommend doing so. Please make sure you read the ingredients before putting ANY product on your child, especially infants.

Johnson & Johnson also uses these same chemicals in their adult like Neutrogena, Aveeno and Clean & Clear. For all natural adult products please see HERE.

    1. I hope not. But I know that Aveeno is made by J&J company too....

  2. My baby got rashes with Johnson and Johnson but I switched to Aveeno baby and it has gone away all together. I don't know if the chemicals are any different but my doctor told me Aveeno has less fillers in them than the other kind. It is so scary!

    1. Even if your son doesn't break out there are still toxic ingredients in most personal care products. Take "fragrance/parfum" for instance. A manufacturer can list this without disclosing what makes up the "fragrance"... pretty scary stuff. Do a little research and you'll find a lot of stuff on fragrances toxicity.

  5. Watch the documentary "bag it". Any chemical is innocent until proven other wise in this country. Its also talks about baby products and chemicals in them.

  6. I am so glad you blogged about this! I have been telling people this for a while now. I decided to switch to the Melaleuca brand lotions, baby washes, laundry detergents, and cleaners because they are locally manufactured and are NON TOXIC! I love them all! They have cleared up both my babies' severely dry skin and helped me be able to clean even with my asthma! Manufacturer's are not required to list every ingredient in their products so we as consumers need to educate ourselves on what is in our products. It's really scary but big company's are only worried about a profit, not the safety of the product. Glad I educated myself! Thank you for helping educate other parents!

  7. We're an all-organic/all-natural household and while we don't have children yet I'm very selective about skincare products. I actually use a baby lotion on myself by the brand Shea Moisture, they also have an adult line of shampoo and conditioner, baby oil and baby body wash. My favorite scent is the Shea with Frankincense and Myrrh. It smells heavenly and it is all natural oils, nothing at all artificial.

Johnson & Johnson is known for using formaldehyde and other cancer-causing ingredients. Other great brands for babies are California Baby, Burt's Bees, Seventh Generation and Method. Aveeno seems safe but all of their sunscreen contains BHT-another cancer-causing item.

If you cannot pronounce an ingredient and haven't a clue what it is or where it comes from, don't use it. It's very disappointing to see how baby products are created and marketed. Even most baby wipes contain formaldehyde, nitropropane-um what is propane doing in anything baby-related and the list goes on.

Another shocking discovery is all of the hidden MSG sources in baby/toddler food, especially the prepared meals like Graduates. Here's a list if you're unsure of what they are: http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html

    Good luck Mamas!

    2. What happened to the rest of A's comment? I was waiting for your reply since I too had noticed that you had Johnson and Johnson in your daughters drawer... Disappointed to see that you didn't answer and revised someone's comment. It makes it look like you are just promoting the product that you are selling.... And if that's the case just be honest. Why tell us your daughter has never used J and J but it was clearly in the drawer in the picture you had just posted? Please explain to us all - we deserve the truth - thank you.

    3. Hello,

I had that bottle of lotion in her drawer because I had planned on using it on her just like I used it on her brother. In fact, I got so much J & J products from my first baby shower with my little boy that this was still from that. When Laikynn was first born and I heard they weren't using it in the hospitals I reconsidered using it on her. My mother has always used arbonne baby on my kids when they have sleep overs so she brought me some of hers when to try it out. For the first 4-5 months Laikynn slept in a bassinet in our room, I would change her and get her ready right on my bed. Once we moved her to her room I thought I would get more use of her cute changing table but the truth is I have used it maybe 5 times in her life. And it is only for diaper changes not to get her dress or put lotion on her. I have rarely used that drawer and haven't even touched the lotion since I put it in there over a year ago. Usually she baths in our bathroom where I keep her soap, lotion and baby oil. I only put on lotion after a bath. So sorry for the confusion!! If you have any more questions just ask! :)

  8. I heard about that when I got prego so I made sure no one got me it, and got me aveeno instead but now that stuff is said to be bad too, so we switched to california baby, and burts bees and we love both!!

  9. OH my gosh yes they use formaldehyde which causes cancer.
I like Burt's Bee's products. Nowadays everything and anything can give you cancer...plastic water bottles, kitchen stoves release formaldehyde when you cook, people who warm up food in plastic containers in the microwave then that leaks in your food can give you cancer...if you don't eat healthy or live a healthy lifestyle your chances of you getting it will be higher.
Meat and diary can cause cancer...its insane...don't know what to believe and if I do what do you do?? ahhh.

  10. I have also heard that Johnson & Johnson will dry a baby's skin out terribly! We use california baby as burts bees gives my son dry skin... But for these winter months (we live in MN) we started using Melaleuca Renew lotion. It's not for babies, but it's natural and it has worked wonders!! I still always wonder how J&J is so popular.. must be the yummy smell!

  13. The sad thing is that those of us who are poor, literally poor not just figuratively, want to do right by our babies too. We just cannot afford to. I'd love to use any natural care line, but I live on a fixed income of less than $400, j & j is sadly pretty much the only affordable line for me.
